With nearly 6,000 energy-saving LED holiday lights adorning Nibbles Woodaway, John and Meg DeCubellis, founders of the KATIE DeCUBELLIS MEMORIAL FOUNDATION "flipped the switch" that illuminates the Big Blue Bug on the 20th anniversary of the ceremonial lighting.

"The KDMF is so pleased and honored to be joining forces with such a respected and conscientious organization as Big Blue Bug Solutions,” John DeCubellis said, the Executive Director of the KDMF. “For decades, this fun-loving icon has had a prominent presence in this State and persistently, supports charities and their missions. In this instance, we are fortunate to team up with Big Blue Bug to help encourage motorists to drive responsibly and hopefully save lives."

Stephan E. Goldman, President of Big Blue Bug Solutions added, “At Big Blue Bug Solutions, we are committed to sending out positive messages and urging people to simply think about their actions and be responsible citizens. KDMF is a wonderful organization that does a tremendous amount of good in our community. We are happy and proud to be a small part of their important mission while honoring Katie in a unique way.”

The ceremony also gave special recognition to the dedicated members of law enforcement, including Colonel Steven O’Donnell, superintendent of The RI State Police, for their great support of this important program.
